Local dog businesses

Herefordshire makers and services for dogs: photographers, treat bakers, collar and coat makers, and walkers, sitters and home boarders whose insurance we’ve checked. Looking for a groomer? See Groomers.

Walkers, sitters and boarders: what we check

We’ve seen a current insurance certificate covering their dog work.
The expiry date is shown on their listing. When it passes, the listing comes off the site until they send us their renewal.
Home boarders and dog day care need a Herefordshire Council animal activity licence, so we check that too.

Before you book

Ask to see their insurance certificate yourself. Good businesses won’t mind.
Look for public liability and “care, custody and control” cover, which protects your dog while it’s with them.
Arrange a meet-and-greet first, and ask how many dogs they walk at once.

Run a dog business in Herefordshire? Listing is free. Walkers, sitters and boarders will need to send a copy of their insurance certificate, plus their council licence for boarding or day care.
